If it is practitioner against a child, then the chances are that the child is being argumentative and troublesome. You would have to mention the boundaries and explain that it would not be acceptable to cross the line if the child did not want to make the situation worse for their self. It is vital to start respectful and professional relationships with children and young people in the role of a practitioner. There are certain ways which enable such a valued relationship to be established. A relationship in which a child trusts and respects their practitioner and feels comfortable in their company, allows the practitioner to offer a supportive and caring environment in which the child can learn and develop.
