In “Our Post-Human Future”

In “Our Post-Human Future”, Francis Fukuyama explore the issue that biotechnology causes many people of this world to become more worried in things that they should be worried about. He starts off by addressing that genetic manipulation prompts a moral conflict, “because any reservations we may have about progress need to be tempered with a recognition of its undisputed promise” (84). When Fukayama says ‘undisputed promises’ he’s referring to the two major reasons why genetic manipulation is worrying, because one being that prior to this day and age, it was not being used ethically, and two being that it’s ruining the concept of human nature.
