In the dream she is swimming with her beloved Rajat. Waking suddenly she senses her dead mother sitting a darkened corner of the bedroom. This novel tells a beautiful love story of Karobi and Rajat. Karobi was orphaned at birth and look after by her loving grandparents. Karobi meaning oleander. Oleander means a poisonous evergreen old shrub grown in warm countries white, pink, or red flower. She always longed for her mother and father. She only found the unfinished letter of her mother wrote. Karobi found it when she was on vacation from school and took it back with her.
This letter she thought was her mother mourning her husband. Theirs had been a perfect love. One day the sudden death of her grandfather on her engagement night followed by the shocking revelation that her father will be still alive. All she knows about him is that he was a student in California and his name is Rob. There are many memorable character. Karobi’s grandfather is the one they all trusted more than themselves. There is lot of suspense. Finally she found her father and she returned to home alone. She married her beautiful Rajat. In the end they were happy. This is an interesting book it gives a strong female protoganist. She went alone to search her father to other country and it shows equal strength and all the character are best characters.
